Sunlit, sparkling, effervescent
How it's composed
Cold-pressed from the peel of bergamot, lemon and grapefruit. Volatile and radiant, citrus opens a fragrance with a burst of light — perfumers anchor it with musks and vetiver to extend the glow.

Dry, grounded, architectural
How it's composed
Built from cedarwood, sandalwood and vetiver root, often steam-distilled from heartwood. Woods give a composition its spine, adding warmth and structure that hold lighter notes aloft.

How it's composed
Agarwood resin forms when Aquilaria trees defend against infection, maturing over decades. Distilled oud is smoky and animalic; perfumers soften it with rose and saffron in the classic Arabian pairing.
